Drive east through the Ngorongoro highlands toward the crater rim. As you arrive, the lodge emerges from the highland mist and — 600 metres below — the Ngorongoro Crater reveals itself entire: a volcanic caldera 20 kilometres across, home to 30,000 animals and one of the great spectacles of the natural world.
